THE CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs, in coordination with the Office of the Governor, extends a warm invitation to all military members, families, and the community to join in commemorating Memorial Week from May 21 to 26, 2024. The week will commence with a proclamation signing on May 21 at 9 a.m. in the governor’s conference room.
Everyone is invited to attend the Memorial Day commemoration on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Marpi. This day holds particular significance as the community honors the memory of fallen heroes and pays tribute to their sacrifices.
Additionally, the occasion marks the 80th anniversary of the Battles of Saipan and Tinian, and all local Marine Scouts will be honored. It is a moment to reflect on their courage and valor during this historic milestone.
