(Commonwealth Utilities Corporation) — There will be scheduled power service interruptions from May 7 to 18, 2024. These may be subject to change either on the day of or prior to, considering potential issues or weather-related factors.

Tuesday, May 7

Power service interruption time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Area affected: Garapan

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to relocate and replace a 40-foot wooden power pole with a 40-foot concrete pole, and to reinstall a transformer and service drops. Additionally, to install a 40-foot concrete pole.

Wednesday, May 8

Power service interruption time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Area affected: Puerto Rico (United States Army Reserve Center)

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace a 40-foot wooden power pole with a 40-foot concrete pole, and to reinstall transformers and service drops.

Thursday, May 9

Power service interruption time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Area affected: Garapan

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace two 45-foot wooden power poles with 45-foot concrete poles, and to reinstall transformers.

Saturday, May 11

Power service interruption time: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Area affected: Garapan

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Momentary power service interruption time:

6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. & 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Area affected: Garapan

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: Bank of Guam along Beach Road and DFS

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to remove a power pole, relocate and reinstall a transformer, and reconnect service drops.  Additionally, to secure the former Tony Roma’s riser pole, clean cable terminations, and seal the conduits inside two-pad mount switchgears.

Monday, May 13

Power service interruption time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Area affected: Susupe (KFC, Town House, and Aquarius Condo)

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to perform line clearing of vegetation near or on the primary power lines.

Tuesday, May 14

Power service interruption time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Area affected: Garapan (Ete Cafe and Plumeria Steakhouse Building, and partial of Grandvrio Resort)

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace a leaning 40-foot wooden power pole with a40-foot concrete pole, and reinstall transformers and service drops.

Wednesday, May 15

Power service interruption time: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Area affected: Chalan Laulau (Piggy House Building)

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace a leaning 40-foot wooden power pole with a 40-foot concrete pole, and reinstall transformers and service drops.

Power service interruption time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Area affected: Susupe (DPS Traffic Section. MHS will not be affected.)

Water wells affected: None

Wastewater facilities affected: None

Traffic lights affected: None

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace a 40-foot wooden power pole with a 40-foot concrete pole, and reinstall transformers and service drops.

Saturday, May 18

Power service interruption time: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Areas affected: Garapan, Navy Hill, Chalan Galaide and CHCC

Water wells affected: CL-2 and CL-5

Wastewater facility affected: S-8

Traffic lights affected: CHCC traffic lights

Purpose: To allow CUC linemen to replace a 45-foot wooden power pole with a concrete pole, install 1-span, 3-phase overhead primary conductors, and install an ABS switch in Garapan. Additionally, to replace four 45-foot wooden power poles with concrete poles on Navy Hill.
