Camacho edges Guerrero in round 3 of MRA points race series

CHRISTIAN Camacho bested Matthew Guerrero to notch first place for the third consecutive time in round 3 of the Marianas Racing Association “Moto IV” 2024 Points Race Series at the Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi on Sunday.

Just like in the first two rounds, Guerrero throttled through the front of the competition in heat 1 to finish first and collect 25 points.

But it was Camacho who won heat two, the race that mattered the most, to claim the overall top spot in the Novice Class for the third straight time.

Ponce Rasa came in third with a total of 40 points while Frankie Sablan settled for fourth with 36 points.

Veterans Class

In the Veterans Class, Cuki Alvarez remains the top dog with his second 50-point finish. Champi Villacanes finished second in both heats to collect 44 points, and was followed by Charles Cepeda with 40 points, Bob Ferrer with 36 points, Ponce Rasa with 31 points, and Ray Yumul with 31 points.

Intermediate Class

Aric Cruz remains unscathed in the Intermediate Class as he recorded his third straight 50-point performance. Vicente Palacios came in second with 44 points followed by Henry Camacho Jr with 38, Ethan Yumul with 36, and Charles Cepeda with 34.

Expert Class

In the Expert Class, Shane Alvarez is solidifying his place at the top with his second perfect finish of 50 points. Ellery Cruz trailed behind with 42 points, Charles Cepeda is third with 38 points, and Corry Pangelinan is fourth with 22 points.
