THE Judiciary of the Northern Mariana Islands is launching an online land document search platform through its Commonwealth Recorder’s e-recording system. The search feature will be activated on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at CRO.NMIJudiciary.gov/.
This search engine is the first of its kind in the Pacific region, allowing users to conduct research, make payments, and download land documents directly to their devices. In its initial phase, land documents ranging from years 2017 to 2024 will be available for search, and the website will be regularly updated to include older land documents.
“This platform will allow the public to search land documents conveniently from their homes via phones, laptops, and any other electronic devices capable of internet access,” said Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro. “This is an important accomplishment in the Judiciary-wide digitization project.”
The research application comes with fees pursuant to the Judiciary Fee Schedule, Administrative Order No. 2017-ADM-0003-MSC, and Administrative Order No. 2022-ADM-0018-MSC, available at https://cnmilaw.org/pdf/orders/adm/2021-ADM-0005.pdf/.
