YUMAN continue to improve their overall standing in season 2 of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League by bagging their third win after trouncing Savemore, 92-71, at the TSL Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Yuman managed to set the tone early as their starting point guard, Carl Aldan, found his rhythm in the first few minutes of the game. He scored a triple and followed it with two consecutive buckets for seven points.

When he was subbed out to take a breather, Savemore’s Ryan Hipolito and Julius Domine combined for eight points, allowing their team to stay close behind.

But the rest Yuman’s players chipped in to stay afloat. Eric Nuyles kept the fuel burning with back-to-back shots. Sean Licayan then took over the highlight reel with 13 points while Jaysey Magno sank two triples to give Yuman a double-digit lead moving into halftime, 55-30.

In the second half, Aldan’s presence was no longer a threat and Yuman struggled to find the bottom of the net. Savemore’s Domine picked up where he left off while teammates Moreno Martin and Romano Vicente delivered a couple of buckets to cut Yuman’s lead.

Savemore’s missed shots and turnovers, however, created shot opportunities for Yuman as Justine Enano, Nuyles and Raymond Atencio finished strong in the last five minutes of the game to maintain a double-digit control and seal the deal, 92-71.

Kagbros vs Longshot

Kagbros remain one of the teams to beat as they collected their fourth win by dominating Longshot. Kagbros and Tan Holdings now share the top spot in the overall team standings.

Against Longshot, Kagbros dominated the game early with a mix of offense and defense, holding a 20-0 lead within the first two minutes of the opening half. Although Longshot eventually recovered from the bombardment, they could not close the distance as Kagbros maintained efficiency throughout the second half to triumph with ease, 110-79.
