Cruz, Camacho remain on top in round 2

AFTER two rounds, Aric Cruz and Christian Camacho are leading their respective classes in the Marianas Racing Association’s “Moto IV” 2024 Points Race Series at Cowtown Raceway Park.

Cruz sits comfortably on the throne of the Intermediate Class after recording his second perfect run on Sunday. Although the competition kept up with him throughout both heats, his control and turns remained superior as he finished first with 50 points.

In second place was Vicente Palacios who also maintained a steady performance, finishing second in both heats to earn 44 points while Charles Cepeda came in third with 40 points.

In the Expert Class, Shane Alvarez collected his second consecutive win, earning another 50-point finish. Corry Pangelinan came in second with 44 points, Ellery Cruz was third with 40, and Charles Cepeda was fourth with 36.

It the Novice Class, Christian Camacho emerged victorious in a tiebreaker against Matthew Guerrero. Both shared 47 points. Guerrero topped heat 1, but Camacho ruled heat 2, which determined the winner.

In the battle for third place, Ponce Rasa beat Frankie Sablan in a tiebreaker. Both had 38 points.

Another tiebreaker was seen in the Veterans Class with Cuki Alvarez edging Champi Villacanes by finishing first in heat 2. Both garnered 47 points.

In third place was Charles Cepeda with 40 points while Ray Yumul slipped past Ponce Rasa in a tiebreaker to finish fourth. Both earned 34 points.
