TAN Holdings bagged their second consecutive win by dominating Tax Pro/Triple L, 108-73, in Season 2 of the Legends Sports Association Invitational Basketball League at the TSL Sports Complex on Saturday.
The first half of the game was filled with endless back-and-forth action.
At first, Tax Pro struggled to find the bottom of the net while committing several defensive fouls. They nearly fell behind by double digits within the first 10 minutes of the game. They then made full use of Lionelle Ibe inside the paint, which allowed him to deliver 16 points.
However, Ibe lacked help and Tax Pro continued to fall behind as the teamwork of Tan Holdings reigned supreme. Ray Olopai nearly matched Ibe’s output with 15 points while Jhonson Suba and Christian Bravo delivered the buckets to give their team a double-digit advantage by halftime, 46-33.
During the second half, Ibe continued to deliver while teammates Frank Ferrer and Lando Laxamana stretched their offensive options with a barrage of three-pointers. But they were still outmanned by Tan Holdings’ roster as Ben William and Fradel Sedillo stepped up later in the game to keep the fuel burning on the offensive end before putting Tax Pro out of its misery, 108-73.
Unity Trade vs Premier Builders
Joining the winner’s circle was Unity Trade, which earned their first win of the season by defeating the Premier Builders, 63-56.
San De Vero stood at the frontline for Unity Trade scoring 10 points while the Premier Builders answered back with support coming off the bench to gain the slight lead, 25-24.
Although the Premier Builders continued to go toe-to-toe throughout the second half, it was their missed shots during the critical moments that gave Unity Trade’s Ariel Moises and De Vero the opportunity to expand their lead before sealing the deal, 63-56.
