Top Korea tour companies promote Saipan Marathon 2024

(MVA) — Top tour companies in Korea are highlighting Saipan Marathon 2024 with special sports tour products for the race on March 9, 2024, in the Marianas.

Hana Tour, Korea’s biggest tour agency, is featured Saipan Marathon as their first co-op project with Runable, a social running platform. Saipan Marathon is the first event in Hana Tour’s Run Trip, a line of products featuring popular marathons and running courses around the world.

Mode Tour is selling “Run with Song Ha,” a 3-night, 5-day package that offers participants the chance to run alongside Song Ha, a sports influencer with over 52,000 followers. The Social Media content  curated by Song Ha offers essential  information and inspiration for exercise enthusiasts. The tour also incorporates tours of Marpi and marine activities.

Yellow Ballon’s “From  Leisure to  Sightseeing” provides the opportunity  to join  the marathon with Sports Bong, a sports influencer with over 130,000 followers. Through her social media channels, she shares adventures and workouts that breathe new life into daily routines. With both Mode Tour and Yellow Balloon, participants can choose the full marathon, half marathon, 10K or 5K course.

Interpark Tour has introduced its first “Running Holic” package, inviting consumers to join the Saipan Marathon with former South Korea national marathoner Park Myung-hyun. The package includes coaching from Park and other nationally certified coaches  offering course analysis and running strategies for the marathon.

To date, over 400 participants have registered for Saipan Marathon 2024.

The marathon is co-organized by MVA and Northern Marianas Athletics and is sanctioned under the Northern Marianas Athletics rules and regulations.

The marathon will begin and end at American Memorial Park in downtown Garapan. Cash prizes will be awarded for top finishers and by age division in the marathon. Participants will receive a limited edition official Saipan Marathon T-shirt, official Saipan Marathon medal, certificate of completion and one entry to the awards banquet on March 9 at Hyatt Regency Saipan.  In-kind prizes will also be awarded for the Wacky Awards: Best Costume, Best Body Paint, Shortest Shorts, Most Awesome Shoes, Ugliest Shoes, and Craziest Hair.

Registration at  www.raceroster.com will close at 5 p.m. ChST on March 7, 2024, and is $110 for the full marathon and $80 for the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Full marathon participants  must be age 18 or older. Half marathon participants must be 14 years old or older. With valid photo ID, students ages 18 or younger may register for $60. Mandatory race packet pickup will be on March 8 from 4-6 p.m. at American Memorial Park Amphitheatre in Garapan, Saipan.

A new course highlighting iconic sites from the Marianas’ rich history awaits full marathon runners.  The road race will traverse sites from the various eras of Marianas history, including pre-history, the Spanish administration, the Japanese administration in the early 1900s, World War II, and modern history as a U.S. Commonwealth.
