THE game that highlighted the competitive forces of two Rocball teams in Round 5 was the game in which the spirited players of team Quest almost upset the undefeated Aces’ team in a five-point overtime set. And, if it wasn’t for what could be considered a controversial call of a loose ball on court, the Quest would have won.

The Aces defeated team Quest in overtime. In that game the Aces won the first set 30 to 12 but lost the last and second set 19 to 15. And, in a Rocball game, a team cannot win a game in a losing set. The overtime sets are 5 points or a goal whichever comes first. And the Aces won the overtime set 5 to 4.

In the other four games of Rocball, Topshakaz defeated the Spicey Locals 49 to 20, Bolleyballerz defeated Chagii Fahn 60 to 22, Baddie-A defeated the Rizzlers 38 to 17, and Nesian Power defeated Border Control 46 to 20.

The Bolley Ballerz was the best multiple point scoring team of Round 5 with 13 two-point aces, 6 two-point xunk serves, one two-point backcourt kee play, 3 three-point goals, and 33 one-point court hits. One of the highlights of Round 5 was the “Jam” made by Austin Pelisamen of team Nesian Power against team Border Control in game 5 of Round 5: A “Jam” is a defensive play made by a frontline player spiking down a served ball.
