(CPA) — The Commonwealth Ports Authority in collaboration with the United States Air Force, invites you to “Pet-a-Jet” on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The open house will allow visitors of all ages to get up close to a KC-135 aircraft currently parked at the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport and meet some of the amazing people behind the operations and success of the current Cope North Exercise.

Entrance access to the jet will be at the gate located south of the departure terminal. Parking will be available in the main parking lot or on the grassy areas across from the entrance. Photo identifications cards must be presented upon entrance.

The Cope North Exercise is a multinational, U.S. Pacific Air Forces-sponsored, field training exercise focused on airborne integration for large-force employment and agile combat employment. This year, around 1,700 airmen, sailors and Marines, along with 700 troops from Australia, Canada, France, South Korea and Japan, assembled for the exercise. The joint forces plan to fly 1,400 missions from three Pacific Island and six airfields using around 85 aircraft. The exercises are taking place from Feb. 5 to 23, 2024, at the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport, Francisco Manglona Borja/Tinian International Airport, Andersen Air Force Base and Antonio B. Won Pat Guam International Airport.
