I AM encouraging our Legislature to enact legislation that will require all government appointees to undergo background checks. Mandating this requirement will prevent our government and our people from future embarrassments.
Another piece of legislation needed in the books is the appointment of an independent prosecutor who would investigate and prosecute all government officials that abuse their power and authority for their personal gain and benefit.
Our people deserve better representations in our government.
