HONOLULU — The islands of Yap are the CNN Traveller magazine’s spring/summer 2002 issue cover story, a media release said.
CNN Traveller is a travel guide for the discerning business and leisure traveler and is distributed in 52 gateway airport lounges worldwide, on select international airlines and in major hotels worldwide.
A Yapese woman appears on the cover, accompanied by more color pictures and a four-page article inside the magazine, which describes the lifestyle and history of the Micronesian destination. The value of the article, in this quarterly magazine published by the world’s news leader in advertising terms realized by the Yap Visitors Bureau, is $49,000.
In addition to the Yap Visitors Bureau, Continental Micronesia, Pacific Missionary Aviation, Traders’ Ridge and Ulithi Adventure Resort co-sponsored and trip by providing airlift and accommodations. Limtiaco Co., a public relations and marketing firm located in Honolulu, arranged the travel writer’s visit.
