THIS is to clarify some points in one of your reports regarding Eucon International College.
It is not true that we are allowed to offer associate degree programs in arts, science and the Bible as stated in your paper. In fact we have been granted the following:
• bachelor of arts in the bible
• bachelor of science in education (these are four years degree) and
• associate of science in health
The following fact is stated in the State Board of Regents’ notice of decision addressed to Eucon International College and dated June 6:
The board, at any time during the provisional period, will upgrade the provisional license to a full license upon the completion of the following four items:
1. Shipment of library materials to Saipan and assimilation into the EIC library;
2. Actual hiring of faculty members as stated in the application for licensure;
3. A board visit to the Eucon International College; and
4. The board assessment of the EIC degree programs—AS in science, BA in Bible and BS in education.
Yes, we have been granted to offer associate of science in health to prepare nursing students to pass NCLEX-RN exams. In addition to this, we are sure that we are going to have good programs for the CNMI. For instance, a private firm, American-Indo Staffing, tested our six college students during the second quarter of this year and the result is astonishing. One of them topped the exam (the same exam was administered to 500 nurses in India) and the third place goes to three of our college students. And to quote Molly Catts, CPA of American-Indo Staffing: “So you have done very well in your training…yes, we are still very interested in Saipan and Shanghai.” This just proved how effective our training is and how good our college students are.
We hope that this clarification will set everything straight so as to inform the public of our present status.
