THE Attorney General’s Office has charged two garment workers for allegedly conspiring to steal items from Duty Free Shoppers in Garapan.
Yong Mei Zhu and Chen Xiao Yong were charged with conspiracy and theft. Both were summoned to appear and answer the charges in the Superior Court on July 8.
Assistant Attorney General Donald E. Wolfe stated in the information that last May 23, the defendants agreed with one or more other persons to steal items from DFS.
Wolfe said the stolen items were six pieces of gift souvenirs all worth less than $250.
In other news, two persons were caught for allegedly shoplifting items in separate incidents at DFS in Garapan on Friday and Sunday.
Police said arrested were Yi Wang, 39, and Imelda Redillas Sabater, 35.
Investigation showed that surveillance camera caught Wang taking sunglasses worth $145 on Friday and Sabater stealing sunglasses worth $229 on Sunday.
