THE Federal Aviation Administration lauds Carlos H. Salas’s re-appointment as executive director of the Commonwealth Ports Authority.
The FAA says it looks forward to a continued “productive relationship” with CPA under Salas’s leadership.
The FAA’s regional administrator for the Western Pacific region, William C. Withycombe, praised Salas for his efforts to improve the aviation and port services in the CNMI.
“Your personal involvement, guidance and commitment have been the cornerstone of much of the success we have benefited from over the years. I’m confident our productive relationship will continue in the future,” Withycombe told Salas in a letter.
Withycombe also reminded Salas that the FAA expects CPA to extend its full cooperation and support to the federal government, especially on issues and projects that will enhance the safety and security of the traveling public.
“The combined resources and productive working relationship between the Federal Aviation Administration and CPA have led to many significant improvements in aviation safety, security and efficiency, not only in the commonwealth, but also throughout the Western Pacific region,” he said.
“I look forward to continuing this tradition of cooperation and partnership between the FAA and CPA to enhance an already safe, secure and efficient air transportation system,” Withycombe said.
