SandCastle to open in May

SAIPAN’s newest tourist attraction—the Las Vegas style dinner-theater SandCastle—will open its door to the public next month, according to its owner.

Mark S. Baldyga, chairman of the Las Vegas-based Baldyga Group International, LLC., said the establishment will have a “soft opening” on May 2 and a grand opening on May 11.

SandCastle will have three Bengal tigers, doves and ducks for the show that features magic and dances.

SandCastle is located at the former Gilligan’s of the Hyatt Regency Saipan. The site has been transformed into a modern facility with state-of-the-art theatrical stage and a spacious area for diners.

The project has so far cost $1.5 million, Baldyga said.
