HONIARA (Pacnews) — A company in Solomon Islands, Vicsun International Agency, has been working on an employment scheme that will enable Solomon Islanders to work in orchards and fishing boats in New Zealand.
The company says the scheme was initially a government initiative to get money into cash-strapped Solomon Islands through remittances. The agency works alongside the New Zealand High Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the police and the Ministry of Health to ensure the necessary arrangements are made for the accepted applicants.
