IT’S been two months after the San Isidro Fiesta on Rota and I’m still waiting for my beef. I bought several raffle tickets and one ticket was lucky and I won a live cow. Sometime in mid-April one of the committee members by the name of Evelyn—I didn’t recall her last name—asked me what was I going to do with the cow.
She then suggested that they could kill the cow for me, but I would be responsible for the airfare.
Now I’m still waiting and the beef has never arrived. The Committee of San Isidro Fiesta never called me back. Should I buy another ticket for the same cow for next year’s fiesta? Congratulations to the winners that claimed their prizes. DIEGO DELA CRUZ
