Spicey Locals and Border Control go head-to-head in round 6 of MHS’ Roccball League at the MHS gym.

HERE are Marianas High School’s Roccball round six results with 30 out of 45 games completed for its 10-team league of players before the top four teams make it into the semi-finals.

The game of the week in Round 6 of Roccball was between teams Bolley Ballerz and Topshakaz. The Bolley Ballerz won the first set 25 to 13 and Topshakaz won the second set 24 to 17. After two sets of play the Balley Ballerz had 42 points and Topshakaz had 37 points scored.  But in Roccball a team cannot win a game in a losing set even if their total points scored is more than their opponents.

This game was forced into a five-point overtime set where a team could win a set without the serve or by scoring a goal before. Topshakaz served the ball in the overtime set because Bolley Ballerz sered the ball to start the game. The Ballerz scored a point off Topshakaz’s serve and scored a goal on their first serve to win the game. The Bolley Ballerz overtime win made them the only undefeated team so far.

In other games, Nesiab Power defeated the Aces 32 to 27, Baddie–Z bested Quest 46 to 25, and  Chagii Fahn edged the Rizzlers 39 to 32. The “Heavy Hitters” after six rounds of play are Jerome Manzon of Baddie-Z with six 3-point goals, Trey Igisomar of Baddie-Z with eight 2-point backcourt scoring plays as his team’s goalie, and Miguel Castro of the Rizzlers and Yeshqiah Coleman of Topshalaz have each scored ten 2-point aces.
