BDE defeated the Lady Blue Jays, 5-2, in the ladies division of the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League at the Dandan baseball field on Sunday.
Both teams scored in the first inning.
BDE drew first blood with an RBI walk by Allana Sumang while the Lady Blue Jays’ Kiana Camacho brought in Destiny Pangelinan for an RBI single to tie the score, 1-1.
After a scoreless second inning, BDE regained the upper hand with three runs led by Kona Tudela’s two-RBI double. The Lady Blue Jays attempted to close the distance but could score one run only to trail 2-4.
The Lady Blue Jays were silenced for the remainder of the ball game while BDE squeezed in one more run in the top of the seventh and final inning to seal the deal, 5-2.
Joining the celebration were Bat & Boujee, which slipped past Boleros, 13-12, and the 670 Magas Babes who trounced Lady SUFA, 14-4.
