ON Jan. 25, 2024, members of the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club donated educational supplies to the pediatric ward at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. as part of the Lions Club community outreach project.
“The patients in the pediatric ward need some light activities that are vital for their early recovery, and the supplies that we provided are very helpful and essential such as sketch pads, coloring books, puzzles, coloring pencils, among others,” Club President Socorro Huliganga said. “The supplies might last for a few months and we are willing to replenish them,” she added.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that focuses on the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents.
The club’s service chairperson, Annamae Adaza, coordinated with Ernie Molina of CHCC for the donation presentation.
The donation was received by CHCC Director of Nursing Grace Laxina, Pediatric Manager Jeanneth Muyalde, Dr. Michael Pham, social workers, and pediatric nurses.
