Lawrence Camacho, Ed.D, the new commissioner of education, talks to the students of the Career and Technical Education Program 10th grade class of Elvie Megnon at Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior-Senior High School on Rota. It was Camacho’s first time to visit Rota’s public schools since he assumed the education commissioner’s position on Jan. 8, 2024. While on Rota, he held a series of meetings with the island’s public education officials, educators and other personnel. He also inspected classrooms and school facilities.
