
Gov. Arnold I. Palacios met with Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, on Wednesday to discuss a range of issues affecting the CNMI. The governor also talked about the islands’ new and ongoing infrastructure and economic initiatives. Murkowski is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, the ranking member of the Interior-Environment Subcommittee, a member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee, and vice chair of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee. Palacios is in the nation’s capital this week for a series of meetings with senior federal and military officials.
