Ned Norita
THE Amigos Golf Club held their first ever Christmas Golf Classic on Sunday with Ned Norita besting 18 other players to clinch first-place at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
The tournament followed a blackjack double Peoria format. Norita bagged the top spot with a net score of 71 to take home the $300 cash prize.
In second place was Peter “Dung” Tenorio who won $200 with a net score of 73. Ben Jones Sr., who settled for third place with a net score of 75, received $100.
Each of the consolation-prize winners — Joe Tudela, Eric Mandell, and Manny Tenorio — won a certificate for a round of golf.
In the optional play, the par 3 list of winners were led by Frank Sablan for holes #3 and #17, Ed Manglona for hole #7, and Joe Tudela for hole #13. Each won a prize of $120.

As for the 2023 Ace of Aces and Non-Ace Tournaments, they will be held on Jan. 13 and 14 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east and west courses.
