THE Kanoa Football Club won the U12 boys division championship of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2023 by silencing the Paire Football Club, 4-0, at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Saturday.
Kanoa played aggressively from start to finish, but it was their first-half pressure that set the tone.
After just eight minutes of back-and-forth action, Kanoa penetrated Paire’s wall of defense with RJ Manabat finding the back of the net to grasp control. Five minutes later, he scored again to extend his team’s lead, 2-0.
After a slight shift in momentum, Kanoa regained possession, which led to a third goal at the 19th minute mark with Paire still having no answer on their end.
Following the halftime break, Paire started to gain more confidence, but to no avail as Kanoa added their fourth goal at the 40th minute mark.
Paire were unable to find a chink in Kanoa’s armor and had to accept defeat, 0-4.
3rd place
In the battle for third place, the Matansa Football Club bested the Southern United Football Club, 2-0.
