(UFO) — “Paskong Pinoy 2023” will be held in the Marianas Business Plaza parking lot in Susupe on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. With this event, the United Filipino Organizations aims to uplift the holiday spirit by providing a whole day of fun-filled activities that highlight traditional Christmas celebration.
This year’s major sponsors are TSL Foundation, RNV Construction, IT&E.
Paskong Pinoy is open to all members of the CNMI community. The event will be filled with programs, presentations, entertainment, gift-giving, games, and raffle draws. Local vendors will sell food and non-food items, and Christmas melodies will be played throughout the event for all guests to enjoy.
“We are overwhelmed by the number of performers, and we have games for kids — Hapi D’ Clown will also join us,” acting UFO President Mario Mayuga said. “Christmas is always the time of love and giving, and with the help of our generous sponsors we have raffle draws the whole afternoon with great prizes,” he added.
The performing live bands include Unshakable Band, Groove Theory, and Sessionista Band.
The “Kwarta o Kahon” or Money or Box game will be the highlight of the event with a grand prize of $500. UFO is also selling raffle tickets for $1 each with a grand prize of $500 and five prizes of $100 each as well as in-kind consolation prizes. No need to be present to win. The names of all winners will be published.
During the event, UFO will also hold an on-the-spot lantern-making contest, a grade-school caroling contest, and an adult Christmas dance contest with prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively.
There will also be an on-the-spot drawing contest for children 5 to 8 years old with cash prizes of $50, $30, and $20 for the top three winners. Registration will take at the event grounds.
