A TOURIST was robbed by an unidentified man while she was walking on her way to Dai-Ichi Hotel in Garapan on Sunday night.
Kim Hee Jung, 42, lost her Prada purse containing several items worth $2,001.
Kim said the items included her Channel wallet, driver’s license, cell phone, Visa credit card, Korean Department Store card, $101 in U.S. and Korean currency, Channel silver bracelet, Armanie sunglasses and her Korean passport.
The victim told the police that she was walking near JJ’s Store toward Dai-Ichi Hotel where she was staying when a brown pick-up truck came along and a man grabbed her purse from her left arm.
An unidentified witness called 911 and reported the incident.
As of press time yesterday, police were still conducting a follow-up investigation.
Last June 26, a woman was robbed by two men on her way home after she withdrew money from a bank in Susupe.
In other news, unidentified persons broke into the Macaw hanger at Coral Ocean Point and stole numerous items worth over $7,000 on Friday morning.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna said the stolen items included several rifles, electronic devices, cameras and several toolboxes.
