Barcinas, daughter of government employees Marla Barcinas and Randolph Barcinas, got the President’s Award, the Mayor’s Award, Bishop’s Award and special awards for service, perfect attendance and citizenship.
She also received awards for excellence in science, math, reading phonics, English, spelling, social studies, physical education, music, religion, computer and Chamorro.
The class salutatorian was Nicky Reginald Q. Mateo who also received several awards for academic excellence.
Mateo is the son of Regina Quiming, a nurse at the Rota Health Center.
Mariah Barcinas is now in the U.S. for a vacation with her family.
She will be a freshman high school student in Idaho when the new school year begins in September, according to her class adviser Mary Rose Lucero.
Mariah Barcinas is the eldest child of Marla Barcinas of the Department of Public Safety and Randolph Barcinas of the Department of Public Works.
