HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — An inmate at the Department of Corrections is facing additional charges after he was allegedly discovered with prison contraband.
A complaint filed against Kendall Norris McKinney states that a search of his cell resulted in the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia on him.
As corrections officers conducted a search of McKinney’s cell, officers “observed that the defendant was being difficult during a search of his person. Upon conducting a further search of the defendant, the corrections officers discovered a glass pipe stained with a residue suspected of being methamphetamine, a Bic brand lighter and a small quantity of suspected marijuana rolled into a cigarette paper,” the complaint states.
A search of the cell also yielded a broken glass pipe with residue. Authorities reported that a field test of the residue returned in a presumptive positive result for methamphetamine.
McKinney was charged with promoting prison contraband as a second-degree felony and possession of a Scheduled II controlled substance as a third-degree felony.
