She said Dela Cruz’s appointment will “bring institutional knowledge about the power utility that will be valuable to the committee.”
Dela Cruz, Covenant-Saipan and former chairman of the House PUTC, told Sablan: “I humbly accept the position. I’m willing to lend a hand and try to find solutions to our utilities problems.”
Sablan said Dela Cruz will head the committee on her absence. She will be off-island from June 24 to July 8 on personal business.
The next meeting of the committee is on July 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the House chamber.
The other members of the committee are Sen. Maria T. Pangelinan, D-Saipan, and Rep. Edward T. Salas, R-Saipan.
