Christmas Island Relay set for Dec. 26

NMA has obtained the go-ahead from the Governor’s Covid-19 Task Force and will implement the appropriate safety protocols

NMA’s end-of-the-year event has always brought running enthusiasts together. This year’s 13.7-mile race starts from the Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio and proceeds to the Last Command Post in Marpi

This time, there will be two categories:  Open Mixed and Youth Mixed.

Each Open Mixed team must have five runners who will individually alternate through one-mile stages from start to finish. One of the members of each team must either be 16 years old or younger, a female, or 40 years of age and older.

The Youth Mixed teams must have at least one female runner, or one 12-under participant.

 Twenty team slots are available.

The Annual Christmas Island Relay is just one of the many activities and events that NMA hosts as it promotes physical fitness, health and wellness, the fight against obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many other medical conditions that plague the people of the CNMI.
