OUR FUTURE is, more often than not, predetermined by the CHARACTER of those who shape it.
With the exception of “natural events” the future of mankind is virtually being predetermined daily by the leaders on our planet. The Governor and this group of Republicans have proven their character of Loyalty, Favoritism, Nepotism, Prejudice and more is what has defined the present malarky (nonsense) activities of this group of Republican that is fully supported by the facts. DPS Commissioner made sure we all know that Republican LOYALTY is the prerequisite for working in our Government. The Commissioner also proved on more than one occasion that Favoritism & Nepotism are acceptable behavior if you are a loyal Republican, which is why there hasn’t been an investigation of HIS “sexual misconduct with subordinate employees” (see Kandit News for more information on how the Republican Senate KNEW about the MANY allegations and still appointed him, as the allegations are a matter of record). The Commissioner has PROVEN that he can generate a FAKE an unwarranted investigation of Rep. Propst and he can totally squash any cases against himself, which speaks volumes to the CHARACTER of ALL these Republican Officials who allow him to get away with it because of their REPUBLICAN LOYALTY that trumps the People every time. I just wonder WHEN will the majority of voters realize that this ENTIRE group of Republicans must GO, save only one whom I will mention in my next Epitaph because he is the ONLY one to speak out against the Commissioner. So, WHO will investigate the DPS Commissioner and WHEN!!!
Now the Republicans are rolling out the red carpet for IPI while the rest of us are suffering including the many workers IPI owes. It is alleged that a “high-profile person, possibly the owner’s son, in IPI’s Administration flew in, avoided being quarantined and is or was being protected by DPS Officers at the Owner’s mansion on Upper Navy Hill.” While this person may be gone now because some time has passed since the Social Media pictures of these Police Offices who were allegedly “IMPROPERLY & ILLEGALLY USED” to protect & serve private individuals who is not even a U.S. Citizen for no obvious nor reported reason to officers. I hear some officers even got in trouble over it. But if something adverse happens to them they need to speak-up and LOUD as a “protected whistleblower” that should give you Federal Protection. It’s almost common knowledge the DPS Commissioner works for Torres first and foremost so we can depend upon him to protect & serve all the Governor’s wishes even when they are “illegal use of Government Resources.” I hope the next Legislature will discuss this event along with completing the Investigation of the Commissioner and the Governor’s misuse of OUR Money! This is WHY the Governor wants control of the Legislature!
But this is just how ugly the manipulation of our small resources that are used to serve the “personal intentions of the Administration & IPI.” These police officers should have never been on Navy Hill guarding a private residence “without cause” and even if there was a cause it didn’t take that many police officers as the Governor only has ONE to protect him. But if this person had brought the millions owed to workers and the millions they owe the PEOPLE of the CNMI then it would have been more understandable but that was not the case and instead it was a bunch of malarkey and worse. You can bet there was a lot of scheming behind the scenes and I’m sure We are going to hear their new scheme that we are supposed to think and believe is a real plan. Like IPI’s recent claim “We won’t give up on CNMI people” when the first thing they did was to ask if they could SELL-OUT to another investor, for TRUE! Stop believing IPI and the Governor just like we can’t believe Trump’s continuous lies.
I don’t think People will fall for whatever scheme they are brewing up and its evident they are as even the Chamber of Commerce is concerned that IPI will continue to be “a privileged business” which is why I want to truly thank the Chamber of Commerce & Velma M. Palacios, the President for issuing the letter from the Chamber to the Commonwealth Casino Commission and the Governor. She asked them to not show favoritism towards IPI and to hold them “accountable to violations in Labor Laws and OSAH regulations” which is the same standards of expectation that all the other businesses in the CNMI face on a daily basis (the complete letter was posted on Kandit News). But when the business sector starts to get upset at the ruling Party playing games and showing favoritism with an investor that Party is in deep trouble and possibly on the demise as the Business Community represents our “Economic Heart” figuratively and the major bloc of financial contributors to the Party for elections. Hopefully more businesses will now come over to the Democrat side in the next General Election because if they know it or not, they need the liberal Democrat minds to turn things around for their businesses and our economy.
So, if WE truly learned from the history of this Governor then We should know that the Governor’s and Speaker’s character is NOT the kind of future We want to deal with ever again as our leaders. Just think about the so-call future they planned for the Mariana Resort and now look what happened and it’s all because their future was based on “lies, deceit and favoritism towards IPI” which no one can deny. FYI readers, the future of the CNMI was being “plotted and schemed” on Navy Hill recently with our DPS standing guard like it was a group of Congresspeople from the mainland who don’t get that kind of protection. But more importantly is the fact that “We the People should not accept anything but cash or collateral for all the millions IPI owes, and NOT excuses” which won’t do a darn thing for the People. IPI has used-up all of their extensions and can’t deny they don’t have the collateral and nor can the Casino Commission because we are looking at the collateral in that big “white-elephant” in Garapan every day. IPI must pay the cost like everyone else who lost in this pandemic.
The Governor is fighting hard to get his Speaker in the House because all the scheming and malarky will be exposed. For me, I believe the Governor is only worried about three things and the people are not included: 1. not getting impeached 2. going to Federal Jail and 3. keeping his Cash Cow IPI alive. But We the People don’t care if the cow dies or not because we are not getting any milk from it anyway. Based on what we are being told it will be another three years before we can see any milk (money) figuratively. I just hope and pray We the People won’t have to resort to protesting over the Speakership because I already have a spot picked out in front of the Legislature on the “People’s Land” to set-up-shop and I’m sure there will be many joining me.
OUR future is being shaped now People and it will surely be determined by the character of those who shape it — a Democrat Speaker I pray for TRUE! I’m sure a majority of voters want OUR future to be about Something NEW, not the same old GOP malarkey but a NEW Direction & Leadership and not the same old malarkey with IPI but NEW Economic Beginnings come the NEW YEAR!
