Kanai, ladies visit Aimeliik Farm

In the women’s visit of the farm, Andy Chiang Leader of the Mission and mission members introduced the crop Roselle and dragon fruit.

“I am encouraging state residents to do the agricultural work in Airai State,” Kanai said during the field-trip on the farm.

Kanai in a statement said she is also hopeful that the mission may assist Airai State develop agriculture farm.

Chiang also explained that the compost project which is the totally new project to the governor.

He said the mission mixed the weeds and smashed sticks, the junk from the farm with smashed tuna fish head and piled the mixture up for about three months.

“Organic compost may enrich soil and improve soil structure as well,” Chiang said.

Kanai said that she hopes the mission will help the state develop the same system in Airai.
