SIS leads heat 1 of elementary cross country race

Two SIS students finished among the top five: 10-year-old Finn Altizer who was second place, and 9-year-old Faith Arriola who was third.

SIS’s Jude Rayphand placed 6th; Naveah Arriola, 7th; Leilani Ruszala, 9th; and Gabriel Walsh, 19th.

Saipan Community School  secured  second place in the team standings with Richard Zhao and Patrick McDonald placing 4th  and 5th places.

SCS’s Andre Guerrero finished 8th; Allie Brasuell, 10th; Joshua McDonald, 13th; and Vivian Chung, 14th.

Taking third overall in the team standings was Brilliant Star School.

Brilliant Star’s Moshe Sikkel continues to show why she is one of the island’s top runners as she blew through the course with ease to claim first place.

Her schoolmates Aiden Camacho finished 11th; Nason Wessel, 12th; Sophia Smith,15th; Aya Smith, 18th; and Pattseera Kasemsri, 21st.

Also participating were William S. Reyes Elementary School’s Jiro Quindoza who finished 16th;  Marq Hernandez, 17th; Aliiyah Villacrusis, 20th; Kriten Sierra,  22nd; and Sylbella Taisague, 23rd.
