Alex Tudela is SGA’s October Ace

Tudela faced a tough battle as he started slow, closing the front nine with a gross score of 42. Fortunately, he found his swing on the back nine, increasing his odds with a gross of 38 for a total score of 80. Supported by a handicap of 11, Tudela’s net score was  69 which put him at the top of the food chain.

Ed Manibusan also showed promise and had a steady performance, scoring a gross of 40 on the front nine and 41 on  the back nine for a total gross of 81. But with a handicap of 9 only, Manibusan fell short with a net score of 72.

Das Krishnan was the official leader of the day with a score of 38 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine for a gross of 77. Aided by a 13 handicap, his net score was 64. Like Manibusan, however, who won the title in January, Krishnan has already bagged an Ace — in his case, in May.

For the Closest to the Pin side event, Tudela made the list at hole #4; Krishnan nabbed hole #6; Nick Sablan, hole #11; and Ed Sablan  hole #15.

For the Longest Drive, Tony Deleon Guerrero won the award for hole #7 while Juan “Pan” Guerrero sizzled at hole #18.

SGA’s other Aces of the Month this year are Jung Eun Teack (February), Nick Sablan (March), Juan “Pan” Guerrero (April), Larry Deleon Guerrero (June), Steve Balakrishna (July), Ed Sablan (August), and John “Nanni” Cruz (September).

The SGA Ace of the Month Tournament for November will be held at the LaoLao Golf West Course on Dec. 6, 2020, Sunday.  Tee time is  9 a.m. while show time is 8:30 a.m.
