ANOTHER travel-related case on Saturday raised the CNMI Covid-19 count to 116 since March 28, 2020.

Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. spokesman Lee Tenorio said the individual was identified by travel screening. Following the diagnosis confirmed through testing upon arrival, the new confirmed case has been quarantined and moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring.
Tenorio said CHCC has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new confirmed case, including passengers on the same flight.
There are three persons in isolation, the CHCC dashboard indicated.
It also shows that 90 of the total confirmed cases in the CNMI were travelers diagnosed at the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport while 26 were identified through community screening, the latest of which was recorded 123 days ago.
CNMI Covid-19 Task Force Chairman Warren Villagomez, in a press briefing on KKMP radio, said despite the arrival of the vaccine, “we need to carry the campaign forward.”
He added, “We still need to adhere to safety measures — wear a face mask, wash your hands, and maintain social distancing even after you get vaccine.”
Villagomez at the same time thanked the people in the community “for continuing to be with us, engaging as our partners as we all strive towards the end zone.”
He said those with questions about the vaccine will get answers.
