IPI payroll delayed, again

In a memorandum, Browne attributed the extended delay to the financial constraints that IPI has faced since the closure of its casino on March 17.

Employees have not been paid for four paydays, the first of which was Oct. 9.

Updates will be announced once the arrival of paychecks is confirmed, Browne said.

“IPI is committed to its employees. We are working tirelessly to find the funding needed to get the paychecks in your hands. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this continues to cause you,” he added.

Asked for comment, new House Minority Leader Tina Sablan said, “This is so awful and sad.”

A number of IPI employees who asked to remain anonymous expressed their frustration with the extended payroll delay.

They said they continue to report to work despite the uncertainty over their pay.
