88th Covid-19-related fatality reported on Guam

“Our hearts are heavy with sympathy, and each name of the souls we lost to Covid-19 are inscribed in our thoughts and prayers. To her family and friends, Jeff, Lt. Governor Josh, and I offer our sincerest condolences and sympathies,” said Guam Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero. “As scripture tells us, we will reap if we do not grow weary. While it may seem there is no end in sight, do not lose hope. If we remain committed to doing what is good and what is right for our island, we will overcome this virus.”

To date, there have been a total of 5,077 officially reported cases of Covid-19 with 88 deaths, 1,586 cases in active isolation and 3,403 not in active isolation. Of the 73 new cases, 30 were identified through contact tracing.
