Canape said they filled seven bags of trash — mostly water plastic containers, beer cans, face masks, fishermen trash, picnic trash, shoes, flip-flops, and broken water pipes.

Also participating in the cleanup were Jhun Canape, Judy Mendieta and Ayi Jinang.
Ladyvir Canape said they started picking up trash at 7 a.m. after jogging and walking at the park.
“It took us two hours to pick up the trash in the area,” she said, adding that there are trash bins at the park, but some individuals did not dispose of their trash properly.
