He said the college plans to have yearlong activities.
During the NMC Board of Regents meeting on Tuesday, Eliptico said they will hold a golf tournament, concerts, recognition ceremonies for distinguished alumni and distinguished employees, and a fishing derby, among other activities.
Most of these will be fundraising events and will not be an additional financial burden for the college.
Eliptico also asked the Board of Regents to help with the planning and outreach programs.
He added that NMC employees and alumni will take the lead in each of the events.
