Sedan slams into truck

The truck driver said prior to the incident, he was in the inner lane heading south on Beach Road. As he passed Quartermaster Road, a Toyota Corolla came out from the beach side area to turn left.

The truck driver said he honked at the driver of the sedan, which did not stop on the shoulder of the road, but instead continued to move forward.

The truck driver said he tried to swerve away from the sedan, but it still hit the front right side of the truck.

The resulting impact severely damaged the sedan.

Another witness said the occupants of the sedan, which included two toddlers, got out of the vehicle after it was driven back to the shoulder of the road. No one among them appeared injured.

When responding police approached the occupants of the sedan, no one wanted to say who the driver was.

Variety learned that there was no child car seat in the vehicle.

As of press time Tuesday evening, the Department of Public Safety had not issued an official statement regarding the traffic incident.
