He said the guidance was based on Directive 17 issued by Gov. Ralph DLG Torres to lift restrictions imposed on boating activities.
According to the mayor’s guidelines:
• Travel to and from Saipan should be limited for pick-up and drop-off of supplies and necessities at the port.
• Before travelling to Saipan, boaters should arrange to have their supplies delivered at the dock prior to departure.
• Disembarking on Saipan for other than this purpose is highly discouraged.
• Practice strict social distancing and other Covid-19 spread prevention measures while conducting any boating activity.
• All vessel operators must ensure that vessels are thoroughly checked and maintained prior to entering the water.
