“We will try to identify a responsible and qualified bidder,” he said, adding that Telesource can submit a bid.
In the next two years, Camacho said Telesource is also required to address the deficiencies in its compliance with its previous 20-year contract with CUC.
These pertain to the improvement of the facility and infrastructure, overhauling of engines, and other enhancement programs, he added.
Camacho said Telesource will regularly provide CUC with updates and monthly progress reports.
If Telesource again fails to comply with the requirements, then CUC “will take serious action, which could potentially lead to the termination of [the extended] contract,” he added.
