Manuela Johnson Guerrero
The victims stated that they were on an off-island trip and they trusted Manuela “Leila” Johnson Guerrero, to look after their home while they were gone. Upon returning from their trip they noticed that most of their valuables within the home including jewelry, and fishing equipment, were missing. When the victims made contact with Guerrero, she admitted to taking the items and pawning them.
On Feb. 26, 2020, at about 3:29 p.m., Superior Court Judge Theresa Kim-Tenorio signed and issued an arrest warrant for Manuela Johnson Guerrero for the charge of theft, with a bail amount set at $15,000.
On Sunday, March 1, 2020 Guerrero turned herself in and surrendered to the authorities.
On Monday, March 2, 2020, Judge Kenneth L. Govendo, released Guerrero on recognizance.
