Lions distribute relief goods on Rota

SPEARHEADED by immediate past District Governor Atoy Banting, the District 204 Region 2 Lions Club officers and members, in collaboration with Rota’s Filipino community and municipal government, distributed Typhoon Mawar relief goods on Rota on Monday, June 12.

According to District 204’s marketing and communications vice chair, Maria Javier, almost 200 families on Rota received sausages,  Ichiban noodles and 10-pound bags of rice.

On behalf of the Lions, she extended her appreciation to Rota Mayor Aubry Hocog for ensuring the success of the relief distribution.

There are 10 Lions Clubs in Region 2: the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club, the Saipan Unity Lions Club, the Saipan Marianas Lions Club, the Saipan Alliance Lions Club, the Saipan Natibu Lions Club, the Saipan Centennial Lions Club, the Saipan Pacific Lions Club, the Saipan Fitbeat Lions Club, the Saipan Infinity Lions Club, and the Saipan Beacon Lions Club.

A new group, the Saipan Eagles Lions Club, will hold its chartering night on Friday, June 16.
