HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man emerged with minor injuries from a crash which split his vehicle in two.
Late Saturday evening, the Guam Fire Department responded to an auto versus pole collision near Downtown King B and the District Court of Guam in Anigua.
“Upon arrival, GFD personnel found one occupant of the vehicle who was ambulatory at (the) scene. He was transported to (Guam Memorial Hospital) with minor injuries,” GFD spokesperson Nick Garrido said.
A video of the crash scene circulating social media showed a power pole leaning over the road and debris from a vehicle littering the road.
About 50 feet from the pole rested a red vehicle split into two.
Officers with the Guam Police Department were seen canvassing the crash site.
The crash prompted police to close all eastbound and westbound lanes on Marine Corps Drive in Anigua as a result of a downed power line.
Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes.
