THE Kanoa Football Club claimed the spring season’s Tinekcha-Awaal (premier) division title of the Dove Women’s League by silencing TakeCare, 7-0, on Wednesday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
KNFC were armed to the teeth with several scorers at their disposal.
Deseha Medniola took over the opening minutes of the first half. After just 12 minutes of play, KNFC quickly overpowered TakeCare’s defense, allowing Mendiola to connect her first goal.
Her two goals followed at the 21st and 32nd minute marks to complete the hat-trick while Christina Atalig delivered the team’s fourth goal at the 38th minute mark to extend their lead, 4-0.
KNFC continued to control most of the possession throughout the second half.

TakeCare slowed down KNFC’s onslaught but failed to prevent Ye Lynn Ha and Aubrey White from contributing a goal each at the 50th and 60th minute marks to secure the win, 7-0, and the championship.
