Serious crash along Route 4

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — The Guam Fire Department responded to a reported crash with serious injuries at around 11:23 a.m. along Route 4 in Sinajana, near Ada’s Mortuary.

According to GFD, the crash involved two vehicles, each with a single occupant. One vehicle required the occupant to be extracted using the “jaws of life,” a hydraulic rescue tool.

“A female individual was transported to Naval Hospital with serious injuries and the other female was transported to (the Guam Memorial Hospital),” the fire department stated.

Today’s incident comes after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, along Route 1 in front of 76/Circle K in Anigua. In that crash, both vehicles also had single occupant, with both requiring extraction using the “jaws of life,” according to GFD. An adult male was transported to Naval Hospital while an adult female was transported to GMH.

The status of the occupants from the crashes on Saturday and today is not known to the Guam Daily Post.
