PEPOY’S DPS Savages remain a threat in the Inter-Government Division of the 2023 SEDA Bud Light Dart League after pulling an upset victory over the Last Shot Hoptown Funk, 8-7, Friday at the Last Shot Bar.
Both teams were evenly matched. Zach Sasamoto and Bryan Nakamura won the first two games of the 501 Double In/Double Out match, but Hoptown Funk equalized with Ben Seman and DJ Taitano notching two games to tie the score, 2-2.
The two teams likewise split the next two partners matches and the Singles Regular Cricket match to remain at a deadlock, 6-6.
But in the Partners Half-It match, the Savages finally grasped the upper hand with Jake Santos and Josef Pangelinan winning their games. Hoptown Funk bagged the final Team 1101 match, but it wasn’t enough to overtake the Savages who won, 8-7.
