SENATOR Dennis C. Mendiola on Thursday pre-filed Senate Commemorative Resolution 23-3 congratulating Marianas Pacific Distributors Inc. or Marpac for its 50 years of “business excellence, dedicated service and community contributions in the CNMI.”
Marpac is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the CNMI today, Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
According to the resolution, the senators “are pleased to applaud and commemorate companies in the CNMI that provide versatile business products and services as well as contribute to the economy and success of the CNMI and its communities.”
Marpac is a subsidiary of Ambros Inc. owned by Ambrosio T. Shimizu of Guam. Since 1949, the company has been the exclusive distributor of Budweiser Beer in Guam.
According to the resolution, Marpac, whose office is located in Gualo Rai, “is not only a successful business and community partner but a valuable CNMI employer. From 10 people when it opened its doors 50 years ago, the number of Marpac employees has tripled.”
Its “50 years of success and economic contributions to Saipan, Tinian and Rota can be attributed to its solid foundation, versatile business plan, committed employees, corporate social responsibility and dedicated consumers.”
